There are a lot of companies that sell used phone equipment. What makes KTI so different?
Many companies sell used telephone equipment. Many of our competitors test the used phones they receive and several claim to test every button and connector before they refurbish the phone. Then they refurbish the phones by cleaning them and putting on new designation strips. Finally, they put them in a box on a shelf – and that is how you purchase them. At King Technologies, we can repair almost anything, but primarily we remanufacture business phones along with manufacturing new phones and phone system equipment for manufacturer’s discontinued products.
For example, every Comdial telephone that is sent to us for repair is automatically transformed into “like–new” condition with new plastics, and every remanufactured phone system purchased from us has been rigorously tested using the original test equipment before it is shipped to you.
In addition, King Technologies is an authorized distributor for new equipment from many of those same manufacturers. That means we can satisfy the entire range of your needs - while meeting the budgetary requirements of your customers.
Your prices for repairing Comdial phones seem a bit higher than your competitors. Why?
Every Comdial Impact, Digitech, Executech and Impression phone repair includes all new plastics. We purchased American Phone Centers (Comdial’s repair operation) in May of 2001, and own the molds for the plastics for all of Comdials phone models except their newest. Every time a Comdial phone is sent to us for repair, we don’t just clean up the existing plastics or scrounge around for a piece that looks a little better, we remanufacture the phone with complete new plastics - top to bottom. That way, every Comdial phone you receive from King is as close to new as you can get. No one else can do that. We could repair the phone and return it like everyone else, but we want every Comdial phone we fix to look great, be totally germ free, and backed by a new 1-year warranty. We think your customers will appreciate the difference - and that you will too.
Can you tell me more about the Comdial products you sell?
Because we are an authorized distributor of Comdial’s new products, along with being an authorized repair and manufacturing center, we can offer Comdial customers a tremendous amount of flexibility in designing systems for their customers. From an existing account that simply needs to add Impact phones, to a customer that wants to change out his DSU II to the newest MP 5000 while keeping his existing Impact phones, King can help. All of these customers can be serviced and satisfied with one phone call to King Technologies by you, the Comdial dealer. Have a customer that wants to buy from you, but can’t afford to spend much? You can offer him a remanufactured system using new Impact phones (or any model Comdial phone for that matter that is supported) and still offer the same full-system warranty as a new system. We warranty every repaired and remanufactured phone with the same length warranty as a new phone.
You can even send us an old Comdial system from the back corner of your warehouse.
We can give you cash or trade, or we will remanufacture it for you using new plastics, test it on the same test equipment Comdial built it on, and then send the entire system back to you. All these option are available to you - but only if you let us help you by becoming your business partner.
I am interested in becoming a King Technologies dealer, but do I also need to be a Comdial or Sprint Products Group dealer to buy from King?
King Technologies offers a wide range of products from many different manufacturers. In order to purchase new systems that have controlled distribution by the manufacturer, you need to be authorized (and in most cases technically certified) prior to King Technologies filling an order. Many new products are available for general distribution, and in those cases you can purchase them from without restriction. In the case of any other King Technology product, you do not need to be authorized by Comdial or Sprint Products group to purchase those products. If I become a King Technologies dealer, do I get other benefits?
Yes, King Technologies dealers get additional discounts on repairs and the purchase of refurbished or KTI manufactured products. The discounts vary based on volume, so please contact Inside Sales for specific information.
Do you perform warranty repairs?
At this time we only perform warranty related repairs on the Sprint Product Group products that we sell. We do not currently offer warranty repair for any equipment by any other manufacturer. We do offer warranty repair on all King Technologies manufactured products, and hope to offer repairs on all products, warranty-related or otherwise in the near future. Many King Technologies customers will send warranty products to us for repair, even though there is a charge, because of our fast turnaround time, and our new warranty on the repaired item.
What makes your technical support so different?
Many King Technologies customers rave about the support they receive, and many others have stated that they would love to get the same level of support that King provides from the manufacturers themselves. King Technologies has a rich history of experience supporting our manufacturing partners. In fact, many in our technical support group were former support personnel and were involved in the original design and testing of those products. That means we know a great deal more about those products than our competitors and that results in a higher level of support, meaning you get “more than expected”.
