Electronics Bench Technician
This position reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment down to the component level. Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Connects unit to be tested to test equipment, such as a signal generator, frequency meter, or spectrum analyzer.
- Reads dial or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics, such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance.
- Compares results with specifications that records test data or plots test results on graph.
- Replaces defective wiring and components, using hand tools and soldering iron, and records defects on tag attached to unit and returns unit to production department for repair.
- Conducts and interprets test data and may prepare technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
- May explain and demonstrate testing procedures to other workers.
- May devise test equipment setup to evaluate performance and operation of nonstandard or customer returned units.
- Performs such other duties as may be temporarily or permanently assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required and a minimum of three (3) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Associate degree from technical school or military training in electronics strongly preferred.
- Experience soldering of electronic components with both thru hole and surface mount technology highly desirable.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to operate a PC.
- Must possess the ability and discipline to work independently as well as with other technicians when the situation calls for it.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is negotiable based on experience working with telecommunications equipment.
Benefits include health insurance, short-term disability, life
insurance, and up to eight (8) paid holidays of per year. After
one year of service employees are eligible for vacation (10 days a year) and 401(k).

Job Description
Account Representative Trainee
This position reports directly to the Inside Sales
Manager and is responsible for learning company policies and products
for Customer Service, Technical Support and Sales. Responsible for
learning products, configurations, upgrades, promotions and pricing.
Will assist with administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level
of customer service is maintained. Will support Sales and Customer
Service as needed by communication with customers. As knowledge, skills
and abilities grow, the person may be promoted to an Account
Representative. Training time for this is estimated at 6 to 8 months.
Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:

Handle inbound calls from potential as well as existing customers.

Contact customers through, but not limited to, phone calls, e-mail,
direct mailings and fax to communicate opportunities, discounts and
product availability.

Develop and maintain ongoing relationship with customers to
facilitate future selling opportunities.

Responsible for giving repair/sales information including price,
availability and delivery information for products as needed.

Determine status of customer account to access Tech Support as
determined by company procedures.

Educate customer on company procedures and lead times concerning
repair/sales to ensure realistic delivery expectations.
-
Communicate with customers and determine their needs. Match
equipment to customer requirements. Emphasize salable features of
equipment. Sell upgrades and promotional programs/products. Close
and complete the sale.

Maintain customer database and sales contract files and prepare
sales orders.

Keep management informed of all activity, including timely
preparation of reports, if applicable.

Work closely with other company departments to resolve issues that
may arise.

Performs such other duties as may be assigned temporarily or
permanently.
Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
-
Ideal candidate will possess prior sales training, 1-2 years sales
experience and be familiar with communications equipment and/or
electronics.

Possess excellent math skills, including addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division and use of percentages.
-
Must have excellent communications skills; must be organized; must
have excellent time management skills; and have the ability to learn
company procedures and equipment that is sold and manufactured.

Must be able to negotiate and possess the ability to “Close a Sale”.
-
Must have good working skills and be able to interact professionally
with all team members, customers, representatives, client suppliers
and those from other external organizations.

Must be capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast paced
environment.

Must possess good problem solving skills an be able to provide
superior service in diverse customer situations.

General knowledge of products manufactured/sold within the company
and how they relate to one another is preferred.

Must be flexible and willing to learn. Development of detailed
knowledge of a variety of products is essential for Sales Growth.

Must be able to learn and communicate sales and marketing programs
to potential customers. This includes the company’s Dealer program
and any other distribution programs for the products that are
offered.

Must be proficient with computer MS Word, Access and Excel
experience is preferred.

Must possess the ability to learn and become proficient with the
enterprise management software and customer relations module used by
the company.
Salary and Benefits

a sales environment as well as current knowledge of telecommunications
equipment and/or electronics.

year. After successful completion of training period, Account
Representatives will be eligible for the organization’s commission
plan. After one year of service employees are eligible for vacation (10
days a year) and 401(k).
